The Page of Cups.

Lotus of the Palace of the Floods

The Page of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Mellowness
Responsiveness
Capability
Emotions
Solitude
Organisation
Intuition

The Page of Cups - Appearance :
A colourful fish surprises a creative young man as it emerges from an ornate cup.
Before a gentle sky a field of red tulips that hold the significance of perfected emotions.

The Page of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

The Fish on this card is a dual symbol of creativity & emotional intelligence. The creativity needs to be channelled if it is to be of benefit to the questioner. Often extremely creative individuals are incapable of using their talents to their advantage. My Page is a perfect example of this, he is represented by a dear friend of mine who is no longer with us. Were he to be I'm sure he would agree that although he was a fantastically talented designer and illustrator he simply could not  turn his ability in to any product that could support him. He was endlessly scribbling fantastic ideas, unfortunately he never found a commercial outlet for his artistic endeavors. The red tulips can symbolise perfect true love is available to the questioner if they can only learn to keep their emotions in check, any damaging traits, such as a jealous nature need to be addressed before the message from the Page is development of relationships. The very basis of the Cups suit is the flow of water representing the emotions, the colours of this card combined with the gently rolling clouds tell us that when The Page appears we must be careful to keep our emotions in check as they may overwhelm our rational decision making process, we must be careful not to let our heart lead our head. The secondary meaning of the fish is that we are to expect news from an unexpected source, in this card the fish is passing on information that will ultimately be of our benefit if we are prepared to listen attentively. As the fish emerges we can expect a burst of creativity to course through our life, a new project will inspire us. If the Page in the spread appears to you as a real person then they will be an inspirational young energetic person who sparks off of you to fire your enthusiasm. The Page indicates a person who is extremely sensitive, I have known the page on several occasions to represent someone who was developing psychic abilities, especially clairaudience, the ability to hear outside of the normal range or even from paranormal sources. I have mentioned this to several questioners who confirmed this by saying " Oh yes I heard that just as i was waking " as if this is the most normal thing in the world. The message in the Page of Cups, as with all cups is new beginnings, new opportunities possibly even physical births. If the questioner is a pregnant woman then she can expect a sensitive artistic child. If we are sensitive emotionally & have recurrent emotional problems, perhaps by always assuming that things are our fault or failing to voice our opinions when we really know that we should to prevent resentment building. The Page has one final lesson, we need to stay with these emotions until we are at the edge of our comfort zone in order to build our resilience, only by facing the turbulence of the suit of cups can we hope to bring our emotions under control.

My Relationship with The Page of Cups

The Page of Cups when he appears to me always has a hidden message. I try hard to listen for what the fish is trying to intimate. Quite often The Page will tell me to focus on the creative aspect of a project & enlist the help of someone more suited to the other details that need attention, be that legal, financial business or any other  area that admittedly is not my strong point. If the Page appears to me in a reading for someone else then I am aware that this person is, or has dealings with someone who though harmless, is subject to flights of fancy. The Page is endlessly creative but finds it difficult to exist in the real world. Finally if the Page appears to me then I know that whatever project is facing me is going to take longer than anticipated & I need to let it run it's course as well as accept opinions from anyone who is willing to give them. The Page warns me that I may not be able to see the wood for the trees & ned to pull away from something, see the bigger picture as I am probably focusing on the small details rather than getting the important building blocks in place.

The Page of Cups - Temper you creativity, Listen for unexpected advice.

My Relationship with The Ten of Cups

The Ten has appeared in my spread and I know that my partner is the soulmate I have been searching for. We are separated at the moment as I have commitments abroad & we are forced, through circumstance to have a long distance relationship. Although we try and travel to see the other as often as possible the separation is almost unbearable, when we meet up we make the most of every second, we fall back in to our life as if we have never been apart. This is the message of the Ten of Cups, when you meet your life partner you will know it without a shadow of doubt, this is when you feel completed and the rest of your life will benefit from the emotional security that comes with a committed relationship. Other subliminal messages in the Ten of Cups tell you to listen for great news, for births, for exciting opportunities. When you have a stable happy home you can celebrate life, all ventures seem destined for positive conclusions. When you have experienced the joy of the Ten of Cups the rainbow comes to rest over your home, long held plans or wishes will be granted. After the earlier struggle in the suit, a happy conclusion is assured.

The Ten of Cups - A state of perfection is possible, joy is everywhere, celebrate as never before

The Nine of Cups.

The Lord of Material Happiness

The Nine of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Wishes
Happiness
Contentment
Fulfillment
Health
Success

The Nine of Cups - Appearance :
Eight cups encircle the progression of a representation of the 7 main Chakras. An eye & lips represent the senses & a need to go inside to search for answers.

The Nine of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

The Nine of Cups is the wish card of the Tarot and it's answer is always the same, be happy with what you've got & search inside yourself, as this is where true happiness lies. Only you can create your own happiness. No external force or material possession can do it for you. You really do create your own reality, if you decide that from now you are going to strive to be happy & see the good in everything in your life, you will notice a tangible change in your circumstances. This is the central message of the Tarot, every card has several specific meanings, this card tells you that every happy thought translates in to your world as a joyous moment or successful venture. The Nine of Cups in a reading tells you that it really is possible now for dreams to come true, it is up to you to allow that success in to your life. The Nine also tells you that you need to find an alternative method to release the stresses & strains of everyday existence. If this card falls less than favourably in a reading it often symbolises that the questioner may have an addictive personality and relies on anything from food to drugs to take them out of themselves. It is usually exactly this type of person that responds well to meditation or exercise. When someone is shown that happiness can be achieved from within, the reliance on external stimuli tends to fall away. When the Nine appears to you accept unquestioningly that your desires are about to be realised. Rewards and a pleasurable time stretch out in front of us, give thanks to whatever power you believe in and accept the abundance and contentment that is set to wash over you.

My Relationship with The Nine of Cups

Before they ever became live on my site my wishing well & crystal ball were online as I used them to remind myself of where I wanted this experiment to lead. Also in that first folder was a page that automatically repeated a selected mantra over & over, whether it was Om mane padme hum or Nam myoho renge kyo I used these loops to focus my attention before I would make a wish or consult the crystal. In those days the wish was always the same, "What do I need to learn to make me truly happy ?". The answer was always look inside or open your mind. I spent many years chasing gold cards or the next ultimate experience. Now I truly accept that happiness can only come from within.
The chakras on this card represent my interest in many different cultures & how they seek to attain happiness. I have completed many courses, from buddhist chanting to hypnosis, ashtanga yoga & chakra visualisation. I found help from all of them & still use elements from all of these different doctrines daily to achieve emotional tranquility. It is up to you to search for any method that enables you to be comfortable in your own skin, to release the stress of the daily grind.

The Nine of Cups - Make a wish, True contentment can now be yours, Are you ready to accept it ?

The Eight of Cups.

The Lord of Abandoned Success

The Eight of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Rebirth
Letting Go
Endings
Freedom
Abandonment
Resignation

The Eight of Cups - Appearance :
A figure turns from Eight stacked Cups. Behind the Cups a river needs to be crossed, the moon pulls at the emotions.

The Eight of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

As you will know I try to avoid the sugar coated view of Tarot favoured by many. The undeniable truth is that the Tarot covers all aspects of the human experience, certain cards simply do not have a happy interpretation. This card, The Eight of Cups is one such card. Whenever I am performing a reading for someone & this card is drawn from the deck I know that some emotional discussion is set to follow. In a relationship spread it usually indicates that a relationship has been suffering and it is time to accept, however painful, that it is in fact beyond repair. Depending on surrounding cards there is a slim chance that the relationship can possibly recover but only with superhuman effort on the part of those who are involved. I often see relationships between people who undoubtedly love each other, it is simply obvious that they can not be together. One example is a couple I know who are both fiercely competitive, both adamantly refusing to back down on any of their ( frequent ) disagreements. It is becoming uncomfortable to be around them, & I was not surprised to see the Eight of Cups selected in one of their readings. The message is if you continue to bang your head against the brick wall or continue fighting an impossible challenge, you will eventually lose. You may as well let go and relinquish this frustration, move on to new experiences. Your ego may tell you that you can turn the situation around, in reality this is practically impossible

The Eight of Cups Tarot Card - Correspondences

Zodiac : Saturn, Pisces

My Relationship with The Eight of Cups

If the Eight appears to me I know that I need to retreat. It has applied several times in my life, from jobs where no matter ho hard I worked & how creative I was, I simply would not be able to make a success of the task. In consultations if I am struggling with a difficult reading I sometimes perform a mini spread to gain insight as to my options. If the Eight appears I know it is probably time to cut my losses as no more information will be revealed that is of any use to myself or the questioner. I have fought the Eight on several occasions, refusing to see that a relationship that was causing me great pain was in fact beyond repair was the first time I genuinely absorbed the message of this card. This card has many meanings but all of them relate back to moving away from something that in the long term can only do us harm. When I lost several friends to illness I questioned for a long time why they had been taken from me, this eventually turned to questioning why I had been left behind. Finally after much soul searching, I was able to let them go, I realised that I had been left behind as I still had many lessons to learn, many challenges to face, much more to achieve. The Eight tells you that an opportunity is waiting if only you can completely release the past, break free of emotional ties and move on. The moon in this card is shown in two states signifying that change is inevitable, if we are unable to face this fact then we are setting ourselves up for disillusionment. When this card appears I now accept that something is coming to a close,  I have to say goodbye & move on. There will be emotional upsets to face, though ultimately the change will be of benefit.

The Eight of Cups - Accept that something is over, let it go & move forward to a brighter future.

The Seven of Cups.

The Lord of Illusionary Success

The Seven of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Experience
Reflection
Innocence
Harmony
Traditions
Emotions

The Seven of Cups - Appearance :
Seven cups appear in an apparition. Many options dance before you, choose carefully, each has significance, only one can lead you forward.

The Seven of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

The message of this card follows on from the six, be careful not to chase rainbows, or build castles in the sky. Though daydreaming is helpful and enables us to create with our mind powerful images that we hope to materialise in our real world, if we only live in the world of imagination, then we are lost. Unrealistic dreams can be our enemy. The number two request on my wishing well is ' please let me win the lottery ', I sincerely hope this comes true for one of you but in reality the statistics point at a likelihood of 14,000,000 to 1. It may be wise to have a back up plan in case your 6 numbers don't come up any time soon. We must learn to create balance in our life. I spend a lot of time studying Tarot & other esoteric subjects as I know that is my destiny, I can however close down this side of my personality and function as any normal human being. The central Jesus like figure of this card tells us that though we should strive for spirituality and joy we have to deal with the thousand things that life presents us on a daily basis. If we find that the emotions of the cups are dragging us towards excessive daydreaming we need to temper this with swift dose of reality, pull in our emotions and refocus our energies.

The Seven of Cups Tarot Card - Correspondences

Zodiac : Scorpio, Venus

My Relationship with The Seven of Cups

This card appeared in a Tree of Life reading that I performed for a young man just the other day. When I challenged that his present course in life was leading him towards an unsuccessful, & seemingly dangerous, future he simply refused to believe it. After the reading I asked him where he thought he would end up. He was going to be a famous rapper he told me, it transpired that though he was in his mid twenties, couldn't sing & spent most of his time hanging out with an undesirable 'crew' he was sure that fame and fortune were set to drop in to his lap. I beg to differ, & this is exactly what the Six of Cups warns. Dreams are good & can reveal your true path, there must however be some basis in reality, very rarely do we achieve our dream life without some form of hard work. I often get asked ' now that I have finished my site ' what I intend to do next ... The site is FAR from finished, though it is functioning exactly as I dreamed it would over 20 years ago, before I even really knew what the internet was, it didn't just ' magically' appear, it has taken many years of hard but enjoyable work starting with designing the deck you see throughout the pages. Yes I had a dream, I did however have to be sure that the time, money & effort needed were considered, that I was indeed willing to put in the work that would bring my dream to fruition. My dreams tell me that I will be a happy, wisened, old ( but sprightly ! ) man reading cards from a comfortable sitting room, I know that before that can happen I need to plan carefully where my life is going to lead.

The Seven of Cups - Follow your dreams but don't let fantasy lead you astray

The Six of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Experience

Emotions

The Six of Cups - Appearance :

Six cups, 1 cup filled with flowers, five cups below, a vintage doll and a spinning top float before a castle in a dreamy sky hinting at the message of the following card in the suit.

The Six of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

This card sparks feelings of nostalgia, of memories from long ago, from childhood perhaps. The danger here is that you are looking back through rose tinted glasses & remembering an idealised version of events. With regards to looking forward the image on my Six of Cups warns about building castles in the air, though day dreaming can visualise your dreams in to your current reality, you must ensure that you have solid foundations on which to build your future. Connections with the past are likely to reappear when the Six arrives, someone from your past may be trying to contact you without success. Past efforts are set to pay off, release yourself from nostalgia & be prepared to change behaviours. If something has not worked before be careful to not make the same mistakes. Likewise just because something has worked previously, it may not be relevant now, you may have to carefully analyse what was successful & update it for your current needs.

The Six of Cups Tarot Card - Correspondences

Zodiac : Scorpio, Sun

My Relationship with The Six of Cups

I have learnt the hard way that there is never any point in regret or looking back, what has gone before cannot be changed, life is a series of lessons & the Six is the card that tells you now is time to build on previous experience. A secondary association with the Six is that a childish outlook may be beneficial in your current scenario. If you had to view your life through the eyes of a child & appreciate the good things in life without having the concerns that age brings, you would feel a great weight lifted from your shoulders. When the Six appears I try & simplify my outlook. It is very hard sometimes to appreciate how far in life we have come, and the things that are truly important. A child will find joy in an empty box, when the Six appears we must reconnect to this innocence, we must release our imagination and generate a simplistic outlook that allows us to remember that everything in our life is truly o.k.. The flip side of this card warns me not to dwell on past mistakes, losses or events that are beyond my control. If a tendency to dwell on the past arises I know that it is merely hiding an unwillingness to move forward, to cling to that which is familiar. The Six teaches us to learn from the very essence of our experiences, to record the emotions and memories, thank the Universe for allowing us such enjoyment And then move on ever forward. As is the central message of the Tarot our very thoughts are the building blocks of our future. Until we can change our thinking to look forward to a more desirable outcome, we are destined to relive our experiences until those lessons have been absorbed.

The Six of Cups - Make peace with your past, accept your future with the enthusiasm of a child.

The Five of Cups.

The Lord of Loss in Pleasure

The Five of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Disappointment
Disillusionment
Regret
Blindness
Ignorance
Hollowness
Inability

The Five of Cups - Appearance :

Five cups are depicted in front of a thunderous sky, three have spilled their contents, 2 still remain upright in the background a bridge leads across a
calm river to an ancient castle.

The Five of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

This relates to 'don't cry over spilt milk' when the 5 of cups appears we must always accept that if a scenario seems bleak there is always the hope that we can salvage the best from what is left. People who continuously 'look on the bright side' or who visualise their cup half full rather than half empty do seem to have a better run of luck than those who always expect the worst. The 5 is an uncertain number, it's position in the suit gives the impression that things could go either way. The 5 symbolises that we are regretting previous actions or indeed feeling a real sense of loss. Emotions are high in the suit of cups & we must always remember to see the situation from a balanced perspective. With the five it is almost too easy to think that we can epect a run of bad luck when in fact the underlying message is that we should count our blessings. When the five appears what have we actually lost ?, What can we save ?, how can we maximise on what is left in order to lift ourselves out of this challenging period. Often when this card appears in readings for clients they do not even accept that there are still two upright cups, they refuse to see that there is still reason to continue with whatever has thrown up this card. The stormy clouds will clear, we will notice the remaining cups & we will make it across the bridge where we can reassess our life, salvage what we can, learn our lesson & move on.

The Five of Cups Tarot Card - Correspondences

Zodiac : Scorpio, Mars, Aries

My Relationship with The Five of Cups

To me the 5 is a wake up call, apart from when I drew the card today to write this entry the last time it appeared I was confused as to the message that was being offered to me, it was surrounded by other dark cards. It appeared in the short term future of a spread I had laid for myself. I realised the meaning when my computer computer was stolen & my back up computer fell victim to a spilt glass of wine, irrecoverable damage occurred, very apt when you consider the message on the card. My immediate response was, what is the point as all of my information for my site, photographs, documents, bespoke programmes had all been lost. Eventually when I had pulled myself back from the gloom I managed to slowly rebuild a new machine with fragments recovered from various drives, cds, online, phones etc. So a situation that seemed desperate, although annoying, was not quite as disastrous as I at first anticipated. In fact I ended up with a shiny new computer that fits my lifestyle perfectly. Needless to say that machine backs itself up automatically very regularly & I would strongly recommend this is a habit that you develop right now.
When the Five of Cups appears to you remember not to focus on the negative, look on the bright side, make it a habit to see the good in everything. When the clouds have cleared & you look back, you will see that by having a positive outlook you really can attract more joy in to your daily existence.

The Five 0f Cups, something has been lost, regret overwhelms, what remains to be salvaged ?

The Four of Cups.

The Lord of Blended Pleasure

The Four of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Opportunities
Advice
Meditation
Decisions
Choices
Delay
Hesitation

The Four of Cups - Appearance :
Three identical cups are in the foreground against a breezy sky. Unexpectedly a fourth cup is presented by a disembodied hand. The face of Buddha is glimpsed forming in the sky

The Four of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

This image shows that if we focus on that which is presented to us we often ignore opportunities that exist just outside of our conscious focus. This card also warns against deliberating over a decision, action is required. Introspection should also be avoided, the questioner is delaying acting on a development as they want everything to be perfect. The message here is get something moving & then add finesse later. It is better to do SOMETHING before the moment is missed & the opportunity evaporates. Discontentment is key to this card. Even though there are three full cups indicating emotional, spiritual & emotional contentment, there is a longing for something more, something as yet undiscovered & indicated by the fourth cup being offered. The old adage ' The grass isn't always greener' should be heeded here & careful deliberation should be taken before an additional dynamic is introduced that may upset the balance of the readers life. When the Four appears you need to assess your situation & think carefully what, if anything, could improve your current existence. If you are genuinely unhappy with your lot then think long & hard about any action you take as the Four indicates that any disenchantment may be superficial & the emotions of the Suit of Cups may be clouding your judgment. The image of Buddha indicates that mulling over the decision at hand will be insufficient, only deeper thought, or even meditation will reveal your next step. The suit of cups is an emotional roller-coaster. The promise of new beginnings in The Ace are closely followed by the partnerships of The Two & then the celebration offered by The Three. In The Four reality bites & a choice has to be made between the comfort but predictability of the present & the unformed promise of excitement. Eventually everyone realises that true contentment is generated from within, no external relationship or material possession can make you truly happy. Though this is at the base of every belief system it is the hardest lesson to learn. If you rely on anyone or anything to make you happy, you are doomed to an unfulfilled existence. The promise of the Four of Cups may well reveal an exciting new path, providing the foundations built in the first three cards of the suit are stable. A shift in your perception will bring about a new personal reality, proving that the only thing you can change is yourself.

My Relationship with Four of Cups

The Four of Cups always gives me an uneasy feeling. No matter how good things are going for me when the Four lands I get an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach that drives me to question the very basis of my existence. Am I happy with how my life is progressing or do I need to anticipate where I want to go & build a plan of how I am going to achieve it. My experience of the Four re-inforces the accepted meaning. Every time the Four appears to me I find myself disillusioned with my lot & taking on further challenges, without knowing the details or the additional effort involved. As soon as I finish a project I immediately think how I could have improved it, sparking off further avenues that I want to discover. This website is a perfect example. After a conversation with my sister about her disillusionment with sites that she frequented, I investigated &, after struggling with the technology involved, put up a single page that showed me what could be achieved. Even as I posted that first page I got an inkling of how I would like the site to develop & now it is truly a labour of love. This journey along the road of Tarot stretches out endlessly in front of me. I am working on a revised reading as we speak & in the spirit of this card already have several other projects bubbling under the radar.

The Three of Cups.

The Lord of Abundance

The Three of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Success
Celebration
Friendship
Family
Anticipation
Relationships
Understanding
Relief

The Three of Cups - Appearance :
The cork has popped on a bottle of wine, a clear sky & the spoils of a good harvest are in the background. The three gilded cups float above.

The Three of Cups Tarot Card - Interpretation :

Celebrations surround the Three of Cups. After an unstable period of hard work time should be taken to appreciate what has been achieved. The trinity of the Ace, Two & Three in the cups suit correspond to the planting of the seed or idea, germination & then joy as the Three blossoms, signifying a positive result. As with all cups the Three of Cups overflows with emotion, prudence is necessary, success must be firmly established & built upon before the potential of the suit of cups is fully realised & fulfilled. Often when interpreting the cards for clients the Three of Cups on an emotional level indicates that the first exciting flush of a relationship has blossomed in to the potential for a committed bond. The warning here is you must be prepared to accept the other ' warts & all '. It will also require you to ruthlessly look at yourself & identify traits that could be a challenge to a successful union, are you really ready to be that honest with yourself ? Each of the three featured cups correspond to an area of our earthly existence, spirituality, emotion and our physical self. When these three are in alignment we feel invincible, life is effortless & any challenge is accepted graciously, we are confident we are at the top of our game, we will rise to the occasion. When this card appears the Tarot is telling us that we should truly just enjoy the feeling of being alive. With the Three we accept experiences that take us beyond our comfort zone, celebrations of all kinds will arise from weddings & birthdays, to actual births, not only of children, also of ideas that will have far reaching repercussions on our lives. The Three of Cups temporarily allows you release from the nagging feeling that you will never be truly free, never have enough money, never find your true soul-mate. Step away from these worries & the power of this card combines with the Universe to bring whatever you desire. Express yourself when this card appears, you are in ' the zone ' & 'going with the flow'. Start any project that has been delayed, run laughing through the streets, whatever it is that will make you happy, the Three of Cups reminds you it is your life & you should live it like you mean it.

My Relationship with Three of Cups

As soon as I draw the Three of Cups I feel a wave of emotional satisfaction overwhelm me, this card is confirmation, like spring after winter, that things are set to improve, that a favourable conclusion can be anticipated. I will reap the rewards of hard effort & can bask in the satisfaction that completion of challenging projects bring. On an emotional level I am at one with my world & those I love. As I drew the Three to write this page I smiled as I have just literally been around the globe before returning to my temporary home in the middle east. Though separated from my loved ones, the Three reminds me that a period of hard work will result in great celebration. In fact as I type I have heard that great friends are set to visit within a month & I'm sure that bottle of wine will be consumed. The Three has confirmed that the next phase of developments on my site, already well under way, will bring great satisfaction & fire my enthusiasm to keep moving forward.

The Three of Cups, Clarity and good fortune arrives, are you ready to celebrate ?

The Two of Cups Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot Reading

Relationships

The Two of Cups Tarot Card - Appearance Two cups stand for commitment in a loving partnership or even a business venture. Both opinions need to be incorporated to afford a satisfactory conclusion. Floating above a winged lion above a cadauceus (a staff entwined by two snakes forming a double helix ). A piercing light of revelation appears.

The Two of Cups
Tarot Card - Interpretation

As with all of the twos in the Tarot deck. The Two of Cups is about attaining balance, one force will inevitably challenge the other, black & white, man & woman, the two indicates a choice needs to be made. The suit of Cups is overflowing with emotion & unbridled feelings, this energy  can be overwhelming when experienced by an individual. However when the added complication of another person enters the mix it can sometimes become confusing & disorientating. One of the most regular scenarios I encounter whilst reading Tarot for women is that they just cannot accept that men are indeed totally different animals. The woman will often bombard her suitor with endless calls, texts or emails which in fact usually just alienates the subject of her attraction. Usually, but admittedly not always it is the man who needs his space. He may be just as committed to the relationship but does not find it necessary to be chained to his partner & may well need time alone or indeed with friends to provide a break from the intensity of relationships.
This card more than any other embodies the good & bad that is inherent in every individual, the two serpents symbolise good & evil & warn that the emotions connected with the cups can easily turn the power of attraction to jealousy  & dangerous infatuation. The lion has the wings of freedom indicating that true love can only prosper if you allow your intended room to live an independent life. If you let them go they will truly come back to you, often with renewed energy & with new experiences with which to add interest to your union. This card can indicate that a more intimate relationship can develop from an existing platonic friendship or even a business partnership. The Two of Cups shows that a deep understanding is set to develop. Be prepared to see the other point of view, any differences can be resolved by the two, feel free to ask advice of another, contain your emotional responses and any situation or partnership will be resolved in your favour.

My Relationship with the Two of Cups

When the Two of Cups appears in my reading, I instinctively know that I need to step back from an event & see the point of view of another, or others. Being Aries it is too easy for me to automatically assume that I am right, as I get older & wiser , I know that it is much in my interests to listen to the opinion of others. Any input should be considered as often I am just not ready to accept that a contrasting opinion could possibly be valid. I know that I must release my ego in order to share my true feelings & resolve the challenge that presents itself. When this card appears I know that I should try & involve all contributors, using their strongest skills to influence a positive result in the current circumstance.

The Two of Cups - See both sides & the truth will be revealed

The Ace of Cups
Tarot Card - Interpretation

The Ace of Cups, the very root of the suit of cups that correspond to water & the emotions. As we are composed mostly of water the power of the moon can have a strange pull on the emotions, this is never to be expected more than when the Ace appears in our reading. Often compared to the Holy Grail the Ace of Cups is always welcome though you need to be objective & make sure that your feelings are not obscuring it's true meaning.
The energy flowing through this card is purely elemental, emotions & feelings will run high. Relationships, partnerships even marriage are indicated by the Ace of Cups. As with all Aces here is a new beginning, go with the flow but be careful to not get carried away by the currents that run through this card stirring you to the centre of your very being.

My Relationship with the Ace of Cups

The Ace for me this reinforces the need to challenge my emotional reaction to any challenge I face. Am I responding 'from memory', just because that is always how I have or do I need to take a different approach this time, view the scene through the eyes of another ?. This card warns me not be overwhelmed by the visual information provided in the moment, I should open up & see what is available through each my senses. The Ace often heralds a perfect moment, where my senses combine to provide an experience that will live with me for the rest of my earthly existence. I have found that the Ace is a particularly good omen in a reading connected with relationships, though the message is do not be overwhelmed by the initial rush of feelings. If the partnership indicated survives beyond this then a long & meaningful bond will develop.

The Ace of Cups - A new beginning with great potential, grasp the opportunity .

The King of Wands Tarot Card - Appearance

An impetuous King in front of a perfect desert greets you with a quizzical look. The Lion signifies dormant power & exceptional wisdom. The manuscript shows great learning & worldly experience. The salamanders indicate that the King will walk through fire to get to the bottom of a situation, as they face in opposite directions it shows that the King once satisfied with an explanation can change direction immediately, his inquisitiveness can never be satisfied...

The King of Wands Tarot Card - Interpretation

The King of Wands is a master of diplomacy, he has unmatched wit & endless charm. The King always indicates interaction with an individual of incredible
intelligence who is on hand to offer sage advice. Experienced in all avenues of life the King is often involved in writing or teaching & has an incredible recall of information not only in his specific field, he also has an almost encyclopedic memory for almost any area of knowledge. A great ally in any form of quiz. The King can see any situation from an informed viewpoint, he is decisive and can be relied upon if an accurate 'snap' decision is required. All this academic brilliance is tempered by an exceptionally entertaining personality, The King is reliable & generous with his friendship. Once accepted as a confidante he will be a longstanding, important addition to any circle of friends , moving easily between any social situation. The salamanders & lion symbolise that though he can be intuitive & impulsive, once a subject grips him he will exhaust every detail before moving quickly on to some other form of entertainment. New ventures are the meaning of The King in a Tarot spread, an explosive period that will reveal if the area that requires attention has long term relevance, or whether the energy of the fiery King will indicate that a rapid change of direction is required.

My Relationship with The King of Wands

When the King of Wands pops up in my reading I know that there is a lesson I need to learn. I am fortunate enough to have several incredibly intelligent friends, some of whom are indeed teachers. As I live in a slightly esoteric world I sometimes need to check in with these friends to touch base with the ' Real World '. Indeed the image of my King of Wands is a very dear friend of mine who is an expert in several fields & can be relied upon to provide good counsel on any subject. When we met we could not have been from different worlds, I was dressed as Hell Raiser in 14 hours worth of prosthetic make-up, to his credit he struck up a conversation & we have remained firm friends ever since . Even though he is an eminent academic he can always be relied upon to turn any night out into a memorable occasion. He has introduced me to many different genres in literature & music, from Motown to opera. The main message from the King for me is to make sure you are present in the moment, even though you may feel that you have experienced a situation before the King of Wands will ensure that you realise that every experience has a valuable lesson that needs to be learnt.

The King of Wands - Release your preconceptions & prepare to learn from new experience.

To her left the sunflower, the universal symbol of life, fertility, happiness & completion. Her wand is starting to bud, a period of unbridled creativity is forming. My Relationship with The Queen of Wands

The Queen appears to me when I need to temper my behaviour & bend the will of those around me. I will be facing a perplexing situation that requires sustained application, being a typical Aries my default reaction is to go straight in all guns blazing. This does nothing except confuse the issues. I know that I need to channel the Queen, I need to use diplomacy & charm. I personally have cats as does the Queen, if they are driving me crazy then I know they are trying to draw my attention to an area of my life that needs focus. If this happens I meditate on the Queen usualy with a hot cup of tea. I lay out all the challenges that I am facing, then I systematically work out a plan to decide on my best course of action. The Queen also tells you that you may not be the best person to deal with a certain challenge that arises, you may need to enlist the help of someone else who is better qualified. As with all wands cards the emphasis is on speed, international travel may feature the Initials A, L & R are important. You may need to back down in a discussion with your closest & dearest & you need to watch for the colour yellow having some significance.

The Knight of Wands Tarot Card - Meaning in a Tarot reading :

Trust

The Knight of wands appears, if he heralds an actual meeting, expect to greet a very personable young man of a jolly disposition who makes every one he connects with feel at ease. A great host & an inspirational trustworthy friend beware that he doesn't bear fools gladly. He instantly will give unconditional friendship, however, once crossed he is a formidable adversary. The Knight in a reading often indicates that the questioner has connections with family abroad, who may even have emigrated many years ago. He is strong willed & tends to lead an uncomplicated existence. He analyses situations quickly & acts fast on his hunches impulsively. The Knight can symbolise interests that have not been fully developed, that re resurfacing in the questioners life. Any interest in music or the arts should be followed. The Knight often shows a person that has an incredible recall in one specific field, be it history, films, records, whatever, this person has an almost catalogue recall of everything that interests them.

The Knight is incredibly organised & tidy though can tolerate disorganised friends. He has a Scorpio influence so is incredibly good at keeping secrets.

The Knight of Wands Tarot Card - Correspondences

Though he is astrologically connected with secretive Scorpio,
his element is fire which can lead to impulsive behaviour

My Relationship with The Knight of Wands

When the Knight breezes in to my reading I know that far reaching but permanent changes are set to occur in my life. I expect him to appear & offer his counsel if I am feeling that a situation is approaching it's natural conclusion. The Knight will burst in and blow everything apart revealing a new direction. He doesn't look back so upheaval should be accepted & the only way to move is forward ... The Knight offers one other option, take a holiday, get as far away from your current situation as you possibly can. Forget everything stop over analysing & come back rejuvenated & on the attack. Follow the impulsive Knight & move forward with conviction. As the Knight would say , "Get moving, get over it, don't look back embrace the future with full force. A challenge lies ahead, grab this opportunity & give your all until your new situation reveals itself "

Are you ready for the enthusiasm of the Knight of Wands ?

Uncertainty

The Page of wands is a messenger. He often appears unexpectedly in a reading to symbolise that news is about to arrive that will change the course of the questioner's life. If they have applied for a course or are thinking of changing direction it is no surprise to see the Page appear. On many occasions I have noticed him arrive with unexpected news of an impending emotional entanglement that will lead to a major relationship. He has often led me to warn the questioner that their soulmate is set to make an appearance in their life, often they are not ready to accept this, however I know of at least two that were ready & indeed did find their significant other almost immediately.

Messages either in the post or in electronic form follow the page, he doesn't always bear glad tidings but you can be sure that he only tells the truth.

The Ten of Wands Tarot Card - Correspondences

Though he is grounded by Earthly energies
his element is fire which can lead to impulsive behaviour

My Relationship with The Page of Wands

The Page last appeared to me as I gave a reading to a woman who seemed to have the weight of the world on her shoulders. The Page usually refers to younger people & I was hit by the impression that her son had applied & been accepted for military service. I took this as a good thing, to her as a mother she could not see beyond the danger of this posting. Her son had impulsively dropped out of school & signed up for military service, I saw that this was to be the making of him & he would return a much better version of himself ( it transpired he was a troublemaker with serious problems with authority figures ). He did in fact return & several years later his mother contacted me saying it was the best thing he had ever done & how she proud she was of him. I have just given an almost identiacl reading for someone & it transpires that their son is about to enter the police force in similar circumstances. Often in my line of work, reading Tarot cards, the faces change though the stories remain the same ...

Personally when the Page of Wands comes knocking on my reading, I know to expect a slightly uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach as I wait for the Page to reveal his message. All I know is that I have survived many visits from the Page & although he has thrown a curveball at me several times previously, after the initial waves of uncertainty have subsided his message usually heralds a period of exciting but ultimately beneficial turmoil.

Are you ready for a message from the Page of Wands ?
