Your conscious is where all of your reasoning lies which can prevent yourself from doing things that your subconscious might allow you to do. When you are functioning at the subconscious level you don't know what is real and what isn't so you are allowed to have changes made that you otherwise wouldn't. This opens the door to being able to make those changes in yourself that would otherwise seem impossible to make.

There are many ways to apply the power of hypnosis. Many people use it to overcome bad habits in their lives such as smoking. When you have bypassed your conscious mind and are dealing with your subconscious or unconscious self you are also bypassing all of the roadblocks that can prohibit you from making the changes you want to make. You can hypnotise yourself into believing that these bad habits are truly bad for you and create a desire to never do them again. It also works for doing difficult things like starting to exercise or eating healthier. You can be hypnotised into changing yourself on a deep level in order to make these improvements in your life.

To allow yourself to be hypnotised to make serious changes in your life can be a wonderful thing. Things that you otherwise wouldn't be able to do are made easier through accessing that power of the subconscious. Things that seem impossible are made possible by simply changing the core of your thinking. Scrying was my first encounter with divination

Increasingly people in this day and age are interested in learning more about their futures. Tarot,
my speciality is experiencing a rennaisance & is being increasingly
recognised as a valid form of therapy. There are many methods of
divination, or learning more about one's future, tools to help one
better understand the now. Many have experienced Tarot cards, palm
readings and runes.  The most popular and most widely known type of
divination however is through scrying, or crystal ball reading.
Unfortunately many of these ancient methods have been tainted by the
commercial 'psychic' industry, true scrying enables contact with
intuition just beyond the realms of consciousness.

Scrying is often portrayed in movies and books as the method used by
psychics, gypsies & the like. Many times this is overplayed and is
more flamboyant than true crystal reading. In the hands of truly gifted psychic professionals,
it shouldn't be a spooky or scary experience. Most often true psychics
or intuitives have a crystal ball that they use, in fact anything that
is reflective in nature will be suitable. A common substitute for a
crystal ball is a glass of water. This must be filled to the brim if you
choose to use it. The item is then held next to a candle or other small
source of light with the main lights turned off. This increases
attention to the object and helps your mind focus on the task at hand.

More important than the item used, whether it be a crystal ball, a glass
of water etc., is the state of your mind as you attempt to tune in to
the vibrations. In order to receive the clearest and most direct
feedback you must have your mind cleared of all other thoughts. Many
meditate before they look into the crystal in order to help them have
their mind focused on the current situation. You also need to focus on
whatever question you have and be searching for it within the crystal
ball and within your own mind. Burning incense also helps set the mood
for a better atmosphere in which to conduct the reading.

Scrying can take a few minutes to several hours. It all depends on the
energy of the searcher and what they are hoping to learn. Having an open
mind and cleared, focused thoughts are imperative to the true crystal
gazer. Many times the subconscious mind will take over and present
thoughts and information otherwise unachievable had you used different
methods. This can provide you with an answer to whatever question you
might have been looking for.

Doing these things can greatly help your scrying become more effective.
With time your mind will be able to meditate more easily and you will
become more successful after each attempt. If you keep it up you will be
able to learn more about yourself and what the future has in store for
you.

What actually is real Astrology ?

A group of systems, beliefs and traditions that believes that the positions of stars and other celestial bodies can give information about personality and human affairs is called astrology. Some feel that it is a symbolic language or a form of divination.  It is even considered an art form by some.  A person who practices astrology is called an astrologer.  They believe that the positions and movements of celestial bodies can directly influence life on Earth.  In other words, these positions and movements can aid in interpreting past and present events as well as in predicting the future.

The history of astrology has been traced back to ancient Babylonia in the third millennium B.C.  This is the ancestor of the Western branch of astrology.  The other branches are Indian and Chinese or East Asian.  In ancient Babylonia, it provided a way for the priests to determine the will and intention of the gods.

In later years, Egypt came under Greek influence and rule and horoscopic astrology first appeared.  The Greeks contributed the horoscope, which related the position of the stars and planets at the time of birth to the future of the individual.  They perfected this system to such detail that later ages made only minimal additions.  The Greek astronomer and astrologer Ptolemy laid the basis of Western astrology.  The planets, Houses and Signs of the zodiac were organised and their functions were determined is a way that has changed very little over the years.

In the first half of the twentieth century, astrology had a great surge of popular interest in the United States.  Evangeline Adams, a very popular astrologer based in New York City, had many accurate forecasts.  As the country entered into the first world war, there was heightened interest in this subject.  The media pounced on this phenomenon and began to publish astrological forecasts in newspapers.

It is interesting to note that some very famous people who believed in their horoscope and their astrological signs.  Nostradamus became famous for the publication of his series of prophecies based on the positions of the celestial bodies. Napoleon, Wallenstein, Chaucer and Milton were all involved in astrology.  Shakespeare mentions it in ëKing Lear.í  There were also some very famous people over the years who were strong opponents of astrology.  Augustine, Cicero, Savonarole and La Fontaine were all very distinguished men who denied stellar influences.

Whether you are a proponent or opponent of astrology, it is a fascinating subject to learn about.  There are many scientific connections with most of the sciences, including mathematics and medicine.  Many ancient astrologers actually made genuine discoveries about the nature of the universe that credited them in later years with overturning the old astrological order.

Because you want certain qualities in a soulmate, you must realise that
he or she will also be looking for certain qualities.  It is important
to determine what you are really looking for.  If there are things that
are definite deal breakers, list them.  However, there are many
unimportant things that can also be listed.  Remember that no one is
perfect and you need to decide which faults will be acceptable if the
major values and qualities you want are there.  If your list is too
long, you are limiting yourself and may miss that perfect guy or gal.

After you have determined what you want in a soulmate, it is time to
decide what he or she might want.  If you are determined to attract a
certain type of person, you need to make sure that you also have
qualities that will attract them.  If there are things you have needed
to work on in yourself, now is the perfect time to begin.  Perhaps you

people who will have the qualities you are looking for.  As you put
yourself out there with your great attitude and confidence, you will be
drawing your soulmate toward you.

Cosmic ordering

Cosmic ordering is the theory that a person can achieve the things that they truly desire by sending out energy to the cosmos and receiving energy back.  I firmly believe by focusing on your desires you can pull them in to Your reality. Firstly, you have to commit those thoughts to the cosmos & also strive to keep those positive thoughts at the forefront of your consciousness. By connecting to the cosmos and expressing deep desires, you can actually make them happen.  The New Age Movement is where cosmic ordering originated. It has grown from the origins of self development techniques & for some people represents part of their belief system and they feel it is a very spiritual concept.

If you successfully harnesses the power of positive thinking and connecting with your subconscious you will be able to affect the cosmic order of things.  Although to intuitively understand this process is simple, there are some important principles that will help the novice to attain the positive thinking that is necessary. You must tune in to the real you, the one under all the layers you have built up over the years in order to place a cosmic order. Children implicitly believe in the power of wishes, when we are young we are completely open to the power of possibility, it is only as adults that we become jaded & tend to no longer believe in the power of sending our dreams to the universe.

The first step is to actually ponder and think about what it is you truly want in life.  Whether it is materialistic, like a new car, or something more physical such as good health, or even something compassionate such as happiness for someone in your life, it must be deeply thought about.  One must picture the desire and envision how one would feel if it were to happen.  In other words, it must be internalized.

The second step is to make certain that the order to be placed is positive.  If the energies you release into the universe are negative, against someone, they will most likely backfire against you.  In other words, by releasing positive energies into the universe you can attract similar energies back.  Thus, getting into a positive frame of mind is extremely important to cosmic ordering. I believe more & more in the power of karma, what you sow is almost certainly what you will reap.

The next step is placing the order, as it were.  This is a completely individual step that occurs in a manner that is acceptable to the person doing the cosmic ordering.  Some people initiate a service at a spot that is sacred to them.  Another might write it down in a letter, including the time frame that the wish needs to be fulfilled in, and then either just let it go or wrap it around a special talisman.  For many it is beneficial to go to a quiet place that brings peace and calm.  A place that makes one happy is ideal, as it will boost your positive thoughts and energies.  Some people even write down their request and recite it over daily until they are positive that it will occur.

tarot deck in Glastonbury by my sister, herself a talented clairvoyant /
counsellor. As I excitedly watched the painted characters come to life

into the Tor and it is as is if I were there, experiencing its

I am suddenly receiving many hits from one of my absolutely favourite places, the magnificent India. I have set up a temporary URL & am thinking what services to offer. lead. I have met incredible mystics on my travels & they are always polite enough to humour my witterings. My study of Tarot and the Psychic arts will always continue,
however, many other areas of interest have opened for me directly because of my Indian encounters. Yes, I regularly visit India, Thailand & Sri Lanka where I meet some
incredibly enlightened people who are selfless enough to introduce me to ancient wisdom that takes my breath away, however I have to survive most of the time in the maelstrom of London. At the heart of most belief systems there are simple concepts,
that if you are receptive, can liberate you from confusion. The concept
of ' going inside ' & stilling the mind to listen to the inner
voice fascinates me & I can't wait to receive some more words of
wisdom. I have been studying the seven chakras since my last amazing jaunt around India &
though I have barely scratched the surface, I now intend to explore this
concept more fully. I have encountered the chakras and their power in
controlling our energy, the chakras are embedded in my Nine of

Tarot, as we know it today, was invented sometime in the middle 15th century in Italy. It closely mirrored the playing cards of the day. Some believe that people had started using playing cards for divination purposes and the tarot were just a refined version of these cards. These basics playing cards had four suits of ten cards each. These cards were brought to Europe from the Islamic world. It is thought that tarot originated when gypsies and astrologers started using ordinary playing cards to 'tell fortunes'. During the 15th century, special cards were added to the playing cards. Later, these became known as the major arcana cards, then called the trumps or triumphs, The Greatest Secrets. The major arcana cards consist of 22 cards with titles rather than numbers and suit. Each one has a strong symbolic meaning steeped in astrology, numerology & kabbalistic references. These 22 Clues are considered to be the 'leaders' of the tarot deck. The remaining 56 cards are refered to as the minor arcana cards. usually these cards are split into four suits: cups, staves, swords and coins. Though there are many variations on this. So in total there are 78 secrets, 78 journeys that need to be experienced.
Tarot has evolved since it's original form. Becoming more complex and rich in symbology. The cards themselves have gained meaning over the years from the cultures that adopted their use. Some cards have come and gone, like The Pope, The Juggler, The Arrow etc. however, around the 17th century, tarot evolved into the form we now recognise, though endless arguments abound over the true tarot sequence. Many famous alchemists and prophets have used tarot, including Nostradamus and Aristotle.
Tarot cards align with the energies projected onto them. As you shuffle the deck, you and your energies conspire to place the cards where they will be most beneficial for you. I always shuffle the deck until the cards feel right. Some people shuffle the cards three times then cut. it is really up to the questioner, or 'querent'. Tarot taps into the psychological realm, or the subconscious of the user to give their answers.
For centuries, people have been using symbols as a type of divination. Tarot is no different. Each of the 78 cards has an individual meaning and myriad sub meanings. Tarot is an interactive Divination art. The cards interact with each other, giving them new and evermore complex meaning.
You place the cards into various spreads where the placement of each card gives it even further meaning. Where cards fall in the spread has a lot to do with how they interact with each other.
